Laura is is an educational consultant who is helping ensure the story of The Friendly Bookshelf will benefit its young readers for many years to come. Learn more about Laura below!
Laura Zimmermann, Ph.D. is the Founder and President of Tech Play Collaborative which supports positive child outcomes through research partnerships. Laura has over 10 years of expertise in child development, play, and media. She consults with children’s media developers, toy designers, education policy institutes, and research organizations. Previously, Laura worked at a leading education consulting institute where she drove formative and summative research projects. Laura was an Institute of Education Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Child’s Play, Learning, and Development Lab at the University of Delaware. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Georgetown University.
